HEY BAND! :D IT'S DOWN TO THE FINAL 12 DAYS ALREADY! WE CAN DO THIS ALRIGHT! :D IT'S UP TO US NOW IF WE WANT THAT SILVERY OR GOLDEN MEDAL! Of course, the medal isn't the MOST important thing this SYF. Put up a fantabulous performance on stage for the judges and we've already achieved our goal. (: SIZE DOES NOT MATTER! We are small, but we have a large sound, and a very nice one in fact. Remember what Sir told us about how the other conductors were like O.o when they saw us during the exhange, but became O.O" when we played our warm ups/pieces? We must prove to everyone that A SMALL BAND can be a GOOD BAND. We must BELIEVE in ourselves then we can ACHIEVE. Alrighty, report at 7.45am in the BAND ROOM tomorrow morning in full band uniform (guys don't have to wear their blazers, just carry it to school first). We must put up a good performance tomorrow for the guests and the school to watch! :D

20 DAYS TO SYF! WE CAN DO IT! :D
We still have: 5 practices, 3 sectionals and 1 exchange (TOMORROW!)
Remember what sir said? We can be LEGENDARY if our runners can run together. Of course, it also depends on all of us to make it happen. (:
Please report punctually tomorrow at 7.30am at the Basketball Court in your band polo tee and pe shorts!
Here's a little something.
 Hahaha. Classic.
Wanling.

HELLO BAND! As you can see our SYF is TWENTY THREE days! That includes; 3 sectional days, 6 practices and 1 exchange before the BIG DAY! Alright, we have no time to waste. We must push ourselves harder for the remaining 23 days if we want that Silver medal alrights? 23 days in exchange with 2 years of satisfaction and no regrets. Worth it? It definately is, so please do work really hard for every practice we have left and when you come to band, FOCUS and CONCENTRATE. Don't think of what to eat for dinner, where to hang out with your friends on the weekend, or your BGR stuff.
Now what we really need to work on is our dynamics and articulations. When Mr Ong tells you to play it a certain way, make sure you DO IT and write it down on your scores so you don't FORGET! Report tomorrow at 7.30am punctually at the Basketball Courts in any attire that has the school logo. Those that are in the Student Council and PSL, you are excused from the camp from 1pm to 5pm so make sure you come for practice! Your TIC have already been informed so there is no reason for you not reporting for band. Thank You. Wanling.

HELLO BAND! After band practice this Saturday, those that are free PLEASE follow me to Far East, Orchard to get our court shoes (guys & girls) alright? The shop at Toa Payoh won't be able to make it on time before SYF so we have no choice but to go downtown to get them! The average pricing for the black court shoes should be about $16+? Stockings would be about $1/2? There is no need to get those ultra good quality ones. Yup, so please DO follow me there to get them after band on Saturday alrights? If you have tuition or what not after 12pm, then it's alright, go for your tuition because Yanyue will be going down for the second round to get them when she gets back from KL. Alrighty, all the best for your remaining papers! I'll see you guys on saturday! (: Wanling. P.S 9 more days to exchange!

About your march holiday practices, there will be practice on the 14th, 16th and 20th. EVERYONE is expected to attend the practices unless you have a VALID REASON. For the 16th, junior band would leave at 12pm, while the rest leave at 5pm. On the 20th, we are going for an exchange with Chua Chu Kang Secondary School. Juniors are to go and either observe the main band play or you can bring your instruments and mingle with the other sec 1s that are also going for the exchange. The exchange is NOT COMPULSORY for the sec1s ONLY but you guys are encouraged to attend to gain more exposure. The attire for saturday would be band tee with pe shorts. You are allowed to wear any kind of shoes as long as they aren't too fanciful. Yup... so see your guys on Saturday. Juniors, please collect your consent form from me(mark) on Monday at the basketball court once you come to school. Thank you, please spread the message. mark
